Alisa Endsley is a professional actress/singer/teacher who has spent a great deal of her professional life engaged in different soul & spirit validating practices. As a singer and actress on Broadway, as well as in London’s West End, Alisa was keenly aware of the challenges in speaking her truth, especially as a woman, in a business where the product was “self” and all that entails. She began her own vocal studio SingForTheStage.com in 2007 teaching performers of all ages.
In 2009 she expanded her student base to include non-performers because a stream of people from all walks of life interested in self empowerment through voice were being referred to her. This resulted in the creation of SingForYourSoul.org. Many came with statements such as “I would love to sing but I haven’t in years” or “My father told me my speaking voice was too high/ too quiet/ too loud!” These statements lead to beliefs such as, “If you reflect what is expected and do what you are told, you will get your needs met — empower others first and self last.” These beliefs are often expressed through the voice, a voice not in sync with the true authentic self.
Alisa has created workshops that address this “disconnect” by introducing practices, techniques and exercises that incorporate active imagination, archetypal awareness and vocal/breath technique allowing each participant to tap into her own unique, authentic voice in a more powerful and meaningful way. This has become the mission of Sing for the Soul.
